Asphalt Paving

New Installation and Complete Removal of Existing Asphalt

When it comes to a proper paving job, it’s all about the base preparation.

Dense Graded Aggregate, otherwise known as DGA, is installed, graded for proper drainage, and compacted.

Depending on the requirements of the project, base asphalt is installed follow by a second layer, surface course.   Each course of asphalt is compacted after installation to ensure strength and a smooth clean appearance.

Mill & Overlay

Resurface Your Existing Asphalt

Paving overlay is a great option for existing driveways and parking lots when the sub base of the existing paved area is in good condition.

The asphalt can be milled at required depths based on the overall condition of the asphalt. Minor repairs can be done to the worst areas including Pot Holes prior to the overlay.

In some cases “Base Repairs” are required. The asphalt in these areas (i.e. pot holes) is completely removed and the sub base is inspected, repaired, graded, and compacted.

A base course of asphalt is installed prior to the Surface/top course of the overlay.

Prior to the pave overlay, the entire area to be paved will be swept, blown off, and tacked to ensure a strong bond of the asphalt layers.

In some cases “Merafi”geotextile fabric is required to promote strength and durability of the pave overlay.

A site inspection prior to the project will determine the extent of necessary repairs prior to the overlay.
